Meet Our Team Q&A series. My name is Daniela Williams, Project Manager at ISE, and I’ll be asking ISE team members questions to help give insight into what makes us tick.
It's Customer Service Week! Today I'm interviewing Brian Trieschmann, Client Support Representative for the ISE Fleet Services division of ISE. If you have a question about eFleetSuite on our A317 or the web application, he's here for you.
Q. How long have you worked at ISE and what did you do prior?
Brian: I have been with ISE for about 5 months now. Before ISE is, well, a long story. I started with a technical degree and worked in the trades for several years out of high school. Most of my time in the trades was as an electrician. I tested and was accepted by the IBEW but sadly sustained an injury just prior to my start as an apprentice. I went on and achieved my BBA from the University of Iowa in 2009 with a focus in Business Management. I was hoping to tie my tech experience with a degree and pursue a career in facilities management. Unfortunately, in 2009 the economy was dumping more jobs a month than any other time since the Great Depression. I fell into a hotel management job and absolutely loved it. It was a bit challenging in the beginning, but very rewarding in the long run scoring near perfect scores with my respective chain (Comfort Inn) across the nation.
Q. What enticed you to apply for a position at ISE?
Brian: I got lucky and had someone that is friends with Kathy Jones (another ISE team member) on Facebook inform me about the job. After looking into ISE as a company, and learning of its multiple local awards, I felt it was well worth pursuing.
Q: You have a vast array of previous work experience through the years. What have you been able to take from your previous jobs and apply to customer service with ISE Fleet Services?
Brian: I think you hit the nail on the head here. All my careers have had a high customer service aspect to them. Particularly the hotel industry, but everything else did require significant face to face and phone conversations with direct customers.
Q. What do you enjoy most about your work?
Brian: I’m a problem solver. In the 5+ months I have been here I think I have learned something new every day and in turn been able to apply that knowledge to helping customers resolve issues and needs.
Q: What do you do for fun?
Brian: I have always been interested in outdoor activities. It seems the older I get the less this is the case, but I still enjoy fishing and rare camping trips. I grew up going to a lake home in the Ozarks for the first 35 years of my life, so the lake lifestyle is something that certainly peaks my interest. Otherwise, I enjoy working with computers. I custom build my own computers at home and enjoy learning new things with software. In recent years it has been Blender and Gimp. I also enjoy playing some games.
