A Friendly Competition for the CommUnity

Each year ISE team members come together to gather items for the CommUnity Crisis Services and Food Bank (formerly The Crisis Center).  This year Trimble Transportation organized a food drive with a friendly competition between Trimble Transportation Enterprise (TTE) and Trimble Transportation Mobility (TTM).  Whichever business donated the most weight in food and paper products WINS!  Of course we all love a friendly competition, so we combined efforts with our toilet paper drive and joined our TTM coworkers to attempt to donate the most.

Over the course of a few weeks we surpassed our goal for toilet paper by collecting 1,011 rolls!  Our delivery was perfect timing as CommUnity had just ran out of toilet paper to distribute to those in need.  Toilet paper is considered a “luxury item” (an item that can not be purchased with food stamps) and some families had to go without until our rolls arrived.

Our total donation of food and toilet paper amounted to 696 pounds!  This was the largest donation CommUnity had recently received!  And, TTM won the Trimble Transportation competition with ISE having collected the most of all sites.  Collectively, Trimble Transportation donated 1,513 pounds of food and paper products to various food banks.

Trimble Transportation has made a huge impact this week delivering all of these items to places in our local communities.  At ISE we continually strive to find ways to give back year-round to our community.  We had a full 2018 and I look forward to all of our efforts in 2019!

At ISE, we’re proud to create a culture that gives back! Learn more about our culture and check out some additional blog posts on this topic! How do you get involved in the community?
